Secondary Glazing for Listed Buildings Canonbury
A building listed under the law is protected and Listed Building Permission may need to be obtained before any modifications can be made. Not all repairs will require consent. Please get in touch with your local authority and make enquiries as to whether you need permission to install secondary glazing.
Sash Windows (Vertical sliding) Canonbury
Sash windows, also known as “Vertical sliding windows”, are the most popular window type. Secondary glazing sash windows are also very popular.
Our sash windows consist of two panels, one at the top and one at the bottom. They are counter balanced with pre-tensioned springs that hold the panels’ weight. The window can be opened in any direction and the panels can be operated easily.
Horizontal Sliding Windows Canonbury
Horizontal sliding windows, which can be made side to side, are the most versatile style. They can be manufactured with either 2, 3, or 4 sliding panels. This type of secondary glazing matches perfectly with Crittal windows. Individual sliding panels can slide effortlessly, providing unimpeded access to external windows.
All of our windows sections are made from aluminium and powder-coated white. You can customize frames to match your decor with a different colour or finish.
Fixed Lift Out Canonbury
Fixed lift out windows are an alternative to screw-fixed units. They have a removable glass panel that can be lifted from the master frame and accessed through the external windows.
This type of window is used for external windows that are rarely used, or in offices with air conditioning where cleaning between windows is necessary.
Casement (Hinged) Secondary Glazing Canonbury
Our hinged (casement) windows can be side- or top-hung. This design allows easy access to outer windows or doors.
This type of window is popular in hospitals, surgery rooms, and laboratories because it has minimal dust ledges, tight seals, and is easy to clean.

Interesting and unusual building with a long and fascinating history which you can read about outside. Never been inside and not sure how to but either way, if you’re in the area it’s worth checking out.

Islington's oldest building - the tower dates back to Henry VIII who granted the land to the Canon of the monastery, hence Canon's Burgh.

Nice park, BBQ's here in the summer. There is a big slide, climbing frame and play area for children at the bottom of the park next to the leisure centre. A great place to come relax with friends.

A shady oasis of calm in North London, located within a lovely residential area, but you need to pick your time as it gets very busy at weekends and on warm days. Good place to exercise, nice play area for children, next to a leisure centre (gym/pool - both being redeveloped right now). Tennis courts and football courts at top end. A small, out of the way open air cafe. Plenty of outlets locally for refreshment.

It's not somewhere you go on and sit, but still, it's nicer to have some green than just a busy roundabout it used to be.

At the moment the space is mainly only being used on the outer edge where there is a low wall which is popular for people to sit on to have something to eat, chat and watch the bustling Highbury Corner area with it's busy station and plenty to do. Unfortunately there are some people who are using the grassed area as somewhere to throw their rubbish. It's a real shame as we have waited a very long time for all the works around the old roundabout to be finally completed so it would be sad for it to be spoilt by people littering. Though I did not understand the need to spend a fortune changing the traffic system to two ways instead of a roundabout, at least there is now a green space that can be enjoyed by all.

The permanent collection changes regularly, which by itself makes it worth visiting at least once a year. Exhibitions are usually small (a couple for large rooms), but well curated. Bonus: the food at the café is lovely, as is the seating area in the garden.

Friendly, well organised modest gallery on a few floors in Islington. Based on an Italian collection it has a strong Futurist feature. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a pleasing shop. Handy for bus and tube.

A gorgeous wee gallery and so calm and quiet. Not LOADS to see but a nice collection (even for someone who doesn't totally understand modern art cafe!) And cafe looks gorgeous.

I have seen comedy here but only recently went for a gig and now appreciate the beauty of the venue. The lighting trickling around the architecture is entertainment enough for the night but the place draws quality musicians who want to give the venue it's due respect and deliver their best. It's a special place and you can sense everyone knows it.

Great venue for a more intimate kind of gig. They also do weddings and general events. Church benches for seating so don’t expect to be super comfy especially if you have long legs but the music will make it worth it.

Fab venue. Good acoustics, nice size (intimate yet big enough to get a crowd buzz), great views from upstairs. Architecture is wonderful.
